Director's Message - (Updated 5/20/2013) ~
After seeing at the band banquet last night how far the students have come since fifth grade, and the bright futures ahead of them, it makes me very proud of the hard work and dedication of this extraordinary group of talented young musicians. I would also like to thank Stephanie Gage and everyone who worked on the Banquet Committee for making it such a wonderful event.
At the banquet, we celebrated our past and present. Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 7:00 PM we will look to the future with our mandatory 2013-2014 PSHS Marching Band Parent and Student meeting. The meeting will consist of several events:
1. Ratification of the new Band Parents By-Laws (see attached)
2. Fitting of uniforms for all marching band members
3. Explanation of new Marching Band Handbook
4. Pass out 2013-2014 schedule and important forms
5. Election of PSHS Marching Band Student Leadership Committee members
6. Election of Senior President and Vice President
7. Discuss details of the 2013 Marching Band Disney World trip
Because so much will be discussed, this meeting is mandatory for all marching band students and at least one parent. Also, we still need 6-7 more volunteers to help fit the students with their uniform. If we do not have enough volunteers, this process will take hours longer than it needs to. If both parents are attending the meeting, and one is able to help with the uniforms while the other attends the meeting, it would be greatly appreciated.
